Reddit is a community-determined aggregator of content. It is a social platform where users submit posts that other users ‘upvote’ or ‘downvote’ (Karma Points) based on if they like it. If a post gets lots of upvotes it moves up the Reddit rankings so that more people can see it.

Here are a few very interesting and helpful Reddit tips and tricks which will help you make the best out of it.

Subreddits are very important: If new to Reddit, remember that Subreddits are very important. Subreddits are the categories designed to organize the content shared by millions of users. Each Subreddit is dedicated to a specific topic like educations, computers, Windows, health, etc. Every time you submit a link, you have to select the suitable Subreddit best relevant to your link. There are thousands of Subreddits here and it is important to select the best fit category so as to get more of targeted viewers and readers to engage with your posts.

Slideshow of images in Reddit: If you want to see the images on any particular Subreddit, you can just create a quick slideshow. All you have to do is to go your desired Subreddit page and change the URL a bit. Add a letter ‘p’ after Reddit in the URL and you can watch the quick slideshow of the images of that particular Subreddit.

For example:

• You want to watch the pictures of flowers, the URL for selected Subreddit will be – https://www.reddit.com/r/flower/
• Now add letter ‘p’ and make it – https://www.redditp.com/r/flower/

Create & use MultiReddits: You can club similar Subreddits and create a MultiReddit and add the SubReddits into it so as to avoid the repetitive posts and Subreddits. To create a MultiReddit, login to your Reddit account and go to the left panel of settings, click on Create and follow the instructions. While you create a MutliReddit, make sure you give it a suitable name according to the category.

Random Button: Have you ever used the Random button on the top menu ribbon? Clicking on the Random button shows the random Subreddits used by various users. So, if you are bored of the usual and common SubReddits shown on the home page, keep clicking the Random button. One-click might take you to the Subreddit CampfireCooking and the next click may randomly open the Subreddit JavaScript.

Reddit Mobile Mode: Reddit has its mobile version specially designed for your mobile phones. To browse Reddit in its mobile version, you just have to add an ‘i’ on the main URL, i.e. i.reddit.com.

Unblock the Subreddits: You may often come across some blocked SubReddits, but don’t worry you can unblock them anytime. You can unblock them either by using HTTPS or by adding a ‘+‘ symbol at the end of blocked Subreddit’s name i.e.  www.reddit.com/r/food+.

Increase your Karma Points: This works slow but it does. You can increase your Karma points by posting relevant comments on the popular subreddits. It is not important to post a long comment, short but relevant ones will help you increase your Karma points for sure.

Answering the commonly asked questions will also help you earn a good amount of Karma points. Make sure your answer is a bit funny but viable. ‘More upvotes’ is equal to more Karma points. Posting some funny and elaborate stories in answers also helps to get a lot of attention, followed by upvotes and finally the Karma points.
