  2. Range Anxiety: For some prospective EV purchasers, range anxiety refers to the worry that their batteries will run out of power before they get to a charging station. Longer ranges on a single charge are one way that advances in battery technology are tackling this problem.
  3. Environmental Impact of Batteries: Batteries have an impact on the environment during production and disposal. On-going research, however, is concentrated on creating more environmentally friendly battery technologies, recycling strategies, and second-life uses for old batteries.
