Job Profile

The professionals in hospital management are from two backgrounds – medical professionals and non-medical graduates. In very large hospitals generally the administrative set up has both medical and non-medical administrators.

Doctor administrators

• Handle technical aspects such as procurement of equipment and medical expendables, recruitment and training of staff, management of professional and research work

Non medical graduates in Hospital Administration

• Manage and assign duties of other staff, maintenance and services, security.

• Sympathy and Compassion
• Understanding of the functions of different departments
• Tact, communication and presentation skills
• Familiarity with financial operations, personnel management, materials purchase and storage, organizational development, patient care, insurance, etc

**MHA (non medical) Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree in Arts/ Science/ Commerce/ Engineering/ Technology/ Medical/ Dental/ Pharmacy/ Agriculture or any other professional course.
