The dark web has developed into a sanctuary for criminals, from the sale of stolen data and firearms to the trafficking of drugs and people. What makes the dark web so appealing is that it gives people a place to operate without worrying about being found. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies that provide a high level of anonymity contribute to the rise of the dark web.
