VAPOUR COMPRESSION COOLING SYSTEM

Dr. V.C.JHA

Assistant Professor - Faculty of Technology Kalinga University, New Raipur

Vapor compression cooling  is one of the most important ways of cooling a system. It is used at almost all required places. Application of this system is in our house, industry for commercial point of view, in academic institutions etc. Now a days it is essential to use chlorine free refrigerants because these refrigerants do not deplete the ozone layer and there is no harmful action on the living things on the ground. For the better performance of this system, refrigerant entering the evaporator should not contain vapor and refrigerant entering compressor should not contain moisture. Coefficient of performance of vapor compression system is better than vapor absorption system because of more cooling effect.
