In recent years, the usage of chatbots in several industries—including marketing, supporting systems, education, healthcare, cultural heritage, and entertainment—has advanced quickly. Here, we first give a historical summary of how interest in chatbots has changed around the world. Next, we talk about the factors that influence chatbots use, and we describe how helpful chatbots are in various contexts. Additionally, we emphasize the influence of social stereotypes on chatbots design. We continue on to a classification of chatbots based on several criteria, such as the field of knowledge they refer to, the need they serve, and others, after delineating key technological aspects. Additionally, we list the primary platforms for their development while also presenting the general architecture of contemporary chatbots. Our relationship

With the development and analysis of intelligent hardware and software, also known as intelligent agents, artificial intelligence (AI) is gradually integrating into our daily lives. Intelligent agents are capable of performing a wide range of jobs, from simple manual labor to complex procedures. The chatbots is a basic illustration of an artificial intelligence system and one of the simplest and most common instances of intelligent Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) [1]. It is a computer program that responds intelligently when spoken to or written to and uses Natural Language Processing (NLP) to comprehend one or more human languages [2].A chatbots is described in the dictionary as “A computer program designed to simulate conversation with human users, particularly over the Internet” [3].

The terms “chatbots” and “clever bots,” “interactive agents,” and “digital assistants, or artificial conversation entities. While chatbots can simulate human communication and amuse users, they are not designed to do so. Knowledge in the use of one chatbot is easily transferred to the usage of other chatbots, and there are limited data requirements.

Communication reliability, fast and uncomplicated development iterations, lack of version fragmentation, and limited design efforts for the interface are some of the advantages for developers too. While chatbots can simulate human communication and amuse users, they are not designed to do so. Due to this, they are helpful in applications like e-commerce, business, and information retrieval. They were so well-liked because of the numerous benefits that users and developers can both use chatbots. Most implementations don’t require users to install anything and are instantly accessible. Without leaving the messaging app the chatbot is housed in, which supplies and ensures the user’s identity, contacts with the chatbot are propagated over a user’s social network.

Additionally, a notification system re-engages dormant users, and payment services are incorporated into the message system and may be used safely and reliably. While many discussions can be carried out simultaneously, chatbots are connected with group conversations or shared like any other contact.
