A Perfect Detox Scheme To Clean Excess Sugar From Your Body

SUGAR is present in all beverages, smoothies, cookies, desserts, food items and more. But the truth is that too much sugar in our diet can turn our lives up and down. It increases the risk of obesity, diabetes, heart diseases, deteriorates the immune system and even harms the function of brain. Artificial sugar tablets are recently reported to cause liver dysfunction and other abdominal issues, also. So, to break the high intake of sugar that can harm our health, all we need is a clear direction to Detox from sugar.

Here are some points on how to detox body off excess sugar:

  1. Turn away from sugar: Sugar is more addictive than cocaine. Man-made white sugar is very harmful for the body. So we need to introduce a strong will-power to eliminate sugar completely, as we can do if we are trying to come out of alcoholismor other addictive products. We should not just bypass table sugar, but also stand back from all the sugars available in the form of processed food and beverages. Ideally, a 10 days’ time period is suggested to give up on any kind of sugar.
  2. Stack up on proteins: Eat meals that contain lots of good protein and fat. Since they are hard to digest and take more time to absorb, it will make us feel full for a period of time and maintain our energy levels. The key to equalization blood sugar and insulin levels, without much desire can be achieved through a high protein diet.
  3. Eat the right carbs: Avoid refined carbohydrates and starch rich foods like potatoes, white bread, pasta and baked goods. Instead go for natural carbohydrates present in vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, leafy greens, eggplant. It is also good to avoid grains and beans during detox period.
  4. No artificial sweeteners: We might be stimulated to substitute sugar with artificial sweeteners, but this is not really beneficial. Artificial sweeteners are just temporary solutions when alien from sugar and we do not know about its long term advantages. In the long term, it might be just as addictive as sugar. If at all you crave for something sweet, you can go for natural fruits.
  5. Consume whole foods: Foods that don’t come in boxes, cans or bottles. Whole foods like vegetables, fruits, lean meat, nuts, fish, seeds and healthy fats will help a great deal to decrease the cravings and also keep us satisfied.
  6. Sleep well: Last but not the least, get quality sleep time to beat cravings for sugar and suppress hunger hormones. To fight against the desire to overeat and improve energy levels a good sleep is necessary. A good night’s sleep will do wonders for our overall well-being.
